Stunning view!

Beautiful location! We found this amazing Log Cabin Home to be spacious, rustic, clean & cozy! We stayed at the Grandview with 12 adults. It was comfortable, quiet and serene. We brought our ice fishing gear & snow shoes and launched in to the opening to the lake. With the gourmet kitchen we ate like kings! In the evening we used the large table for cards & games and stayed toasty warm with the fireplace! We did have nice temps and used the outdoor hot tub, which was fun after snow shoeing. What a perfect experience! We plan to be back!

Amazing weekend at Grandview

We just had an amazing weekend at Grandview. Bonnie and Emaelee were so easy to work with. Communication was great with a couple of emails leading up to our stay with all of the details. The home was even more beautiful than the pictures show. And the sunset from the living room and hot tub were breathtaking.

Amazing location

We celebrated Thanksgiving day and my 45th birthday. The house is very good for big group of people. It’s enough space for everyone. Amazing location in the lake and forest. Very good organise . Thank you Bonnie and Misty to share with us your property. We enjoyed.

Excellent lodge

Excellent lodge with all of the amenities as pictured. It truly was a gorgeous experience and a relaxing getaway from the city. I would absolutely recommend this lodge for family and friend trips alike. 10 of us slept comfortably with rooms to spare. The game room upstairs does not cause a disturbance, so it’s a great layout and guests choose their own adventure in the home without being too noisy. A lovely touch is the provided firewood. The fireplaces helped make the lodge even more cozy and picturesque.

Wonderful stay

This house was the perfect place for a group of 16 adults and teenagers to spend a fun, long weekend! The house is huge and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kids had their own kitchen! Beds were very comfortable. We loved all the amenities, including the hot tub, sauna, gameroom, and boats! It is on a very quiet, serene lake. The neighborhood is also nice and quiet and perfect for short walks! We had a wonderful stay and the kids are already hoping we can go back during the summer!

Wonderful time

My family and I had the most wonderful time at this house. The lake was so peaceful, and if you like to be on the water..you won't regret staying here! They provide paddle boards, canoe, kayaks, kids items, etc. There is so much space in the house and I wish we had more family members that could've enjoyed the space with us. The large hot tub was amazing overlooking the water, we used it multiple times a day. We had one issue come up at the house, and Bonnie and her husband came over right away to help us, and fixed it right away! We have it on our list to come back to. Thanks again!

Perfect

My wife and I were up with our 4 kids/spouses and 11 grandkids. We had a great week of weather, eating, drinking, fishing, swimming, and dusk cruises on the lake. The facility was PERFECT for our family. We made some wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!!

Plenty of room

I rent a house every summer for our family of 20. This was perfect with plenty of room for all and ideal for children. We had 12 children with us ages from 1 month to 3 years and they had a ball. We were especially impressed with all the lake equipment. There was a large raft the kids liked to swim out to and paddle boards and paddle boat, plenty of life jackets and so much more. We loved sitting in the hot tub at night, overlooking the lake, and enjoyed the star filled sky. The house was well stocked with everything you need. The kitchen was better stocked than my own! Having rented homes for the past 9 years, this would definitely be at the top of my list to rent again.

This house is amazing

This house was amazing. It was perfect. It has three big living areas so people can spread out, a large deck with a hot tub that overlooks a lake and enough beds to sleep 24. I surprised my wife for her 50th birthday with a trip for family and friends, During the weekend we did a renewal of vows ceremony in the great room with 22 friends and family looking on and it was the perfect venue. Our hosts recommended a great caterer and were willing to help out with flowers or banners or anything we needed. I could not think of a better place to have this event.

Loved staying here

Loved staying here for a group doing a ski trip. Not too far away from a few different ski resorts (1hr 15 min to Granite Peak) and close to a tubing hill (about 15 min). Enjoyed having a garage to park in during the winter, too. We had a big group and there was plenty of sleeping space, as well as dishes for all of the guests. Loved having two kitchens so people could prep in both places and we had two fridges! Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake a bit.

Our Annual girls getaway away was a huge success, Plenty of room inside and out, enjoyed having the hot tub and the fire pit since we had great weather. We would recommend this location to everyone.

Excellent choice

Excellent choice for a group. We are 5 over 70 gals who travel once a year, pals since high school. All of us loved this beautiful setting, comfy beds, wonderful amenities, with space to go read or watch a different TV channel. Highly recommend!

Beautiful accommodations

The house is amazing

We rented this property for a family gathering in honor of my Mom's 80th birthday. There were 16 of us and a great time was had by all, from 14 to 80 years old. The house is amazing, there was plenty of room for everyone, and it had every amenity you could want. Bonnie was very helpful with all of our questions.

Fantastic getaway for family of all ages

The most enjoyable vacation for our family from ages 7 to 86. Beautiful weather with little rain, all enjoyed the many water sports available and nobody left the premises, except for groceries. Family wedding

We rented Grandview for a family wedding next door at CampLakota. Everyone loved the lodge! The sauna and the hot tub were wonderful after long, tiring days, and the view of the lake was restorative. We were too busy to use the fire pit, but that would have been marvelous. There was plenty of wood for all the fireplaces, and we took full advantage of that. Great ambience with the fires going on chilly May nights! The lodge was immaculately clean, and has everything one could need. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds and pillows, and two fully-equipped kitchens. We did not cook, but any gourmand would be happy in that lodge! Misty & Bonnie were always very helpful and maintained excellent communication with us throughout the year. This would be an excellent choice for a family reunion, wedding, or several couples who want to cook and explore the region together. I think our gourmet club would love a long weekend here!

A wonderful experience

Our stay at Grandview was a wonderful experience. We decided to get this VRBO as a Christmas gift to our adult children and their families. It worked out perfectly. It had enough space and versatility to accommodate everyone. The decor was beautifully done and very comfortable. It was voted among our family as our new “happy place” to be together and no one wanted to leave.

Everything was perfect!

There was plenty of room to sleep a large group and the hot tub, sauna, and fireplaces were perfect for a winter weekend getaway. The view from the large deck is beautiful and I can only imagine what it’s like in the summer!

A new tradition this holiday season

My family decided to create a new tradition this holiday season by driving up to Wisconsin from Chicagoland, and Texas to spend Christmas together. This cabin was amazing & really helped us come together. We will definitely be back next year, and look forward to this upcoming summer so that we can spend 4th of July here as well. What a great way to end the year-with family!

There were 19 of us, 4 generations. We loved the tree, we went to Nordic Mountain tubing. We enjoyed the beautiful view. We look forward to coming here again the warmer weather. Great memories!

The best house rental ever !!!

1. The kitchen was well stocked.
2. The Christmas decorations were wonderful!
3. The weather did'nt cooperate so we spent of our time inside,we found there was plenty to do and lots of room for everyone.
4. We enjoyed the hot tub in a light snow.
5. Having two large tables was great for eating and playing games.
6. The house was in excellent condition and very clean.

Another lovely family reunion at Detjens Rentals

This is our 6th year of holding a family reunion around Christmas. Each year we have stayed at one of the Detjens Deluxe Vacation Rentals. This year we returned to Grandview Lakeside Log Lodge for our second stay. We really enjoy this property; and as always, those at Detjens took care of all our needs. This was such a stunning cabin

We were amazed by the details in the design as well as amenities. the location is amazing, very close to town and Nordic Mountain. However, you still feel like you have a lot of privacy with a great lake view as well. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Great place for a large family weekend

The property has great facilities in a great location for a family get-away! All rooms are well furnished and well maintained! Both kitchens have everything ever needed for meals. We all had a blast playing on the frozen lake.

Loved the house, perfect for our large family

There are 19 people in our extended family and this house fit our needs perfectly. Plenty of bedrooms. With the three levels there was plenty of space to divide up and everyone do there own thing. We also liked that one of the bedrooms was on the first floor, have an elderly mother that does not do stairs very well, so this was ideal. It is also centrally located in Wisconsin so easy for all of us to get to. We will be back again next year. Thanks

Just what we were looking for

Gorgeous and spacious lodge on quiet lake. Great!

Our 3-generational family of 21 spent an absolutely wonderful week at Grandview Log Lodge. The lodge itself was spacious and solidly built. The two complete sets of kitchen/dining/family rooms worked super, with the adults ending the day on the main level (visiting, playing cards, etc) and most of the kids in lower level (watching movies, etc). The bedroom walls were quiet such that the toddlers could sleep (daytime or nighttime) while "normal" activities went on nearby. The upper level game room also was used, especially by the grandkids.

We loved that there was plenty of space, both inside and outside the lodge, for the groups to be together or for various individuals to find some quiet time apart. The quiet lake was great for our family, as we took advantage of the various watercraft (especially canoe, kayaks, paddleboat, and paddle board), the boat dock (for a bit of fishing with the kids), and the swimming raft (a favorite hangout for the young adults and older grandkids). We loved that there were only a few speedboats on the lake, and enjoyed the extended no-wake times of the day and evening. The main level kitchen was wonderful as we "ate in" every night, with various family's taking a night to make (and clean up) the evening meal. The kitchen itself was well designed and we loved having the nearby pantry for storage and supplies. The open style of the kitchen area lended itself well to group interaction throughout the day and evening. On a side note, the Cuisinart knives worked so well that I bought a set when I returned home!

Our family spent most of the time right at the lodge, but we did take a day trip to Noah's Ark waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. We had taken our kids there during their younger years, and now our grandkids also got to enjoy the waterpark. We all had a fabulous time ... a great day trip to break up the weeklong stay.

All in all, we had a fantastic vacation that built and strengthened family relationships and created lots of memories to cherish in the future.

We had an absolutely wonderful 5-star vacation

An up-front concern was the lack of a beach area for our three toddlers. However the shallow sandy bottom area worked wonderfully for them (and for their parents). Thanks for providing such a wonderful and well maintained vacation home. The "Lake House" will continue to be an integral part of our family's history and memories.

Fabulous

As a group of 10 guys, we need space, lots of beds and close golf. This home has all that and more. Thank you to the owners for providing such a beautiful home to rent. The kitchen lacks for nothing. Bathrooms are plentiful and well stocked. We were able to rent a pontoon boat for the whole time and enjoyed evening cruises. The fire pit had amble wood. The outdoor decks had plenty of chairs and shade when you needed it. We have stayed in a few VRBO's over the past but this one was the best. We already began discussions for a return next year.

Grandview Review

Great property. Very open with plenty of space for individuals in large groups to find their own quiet space when needed. Close to town, but far enough away not to know it. Lake is perfect size to boat on, but also not big enough to have a ton of boat traffice. Property has a very well equipped kitchen and boathouse/beach. We will return.....

Relaxing well appointed house

Stayed here with with 4 different families and it was a great size. The house was well stocked and furniture was comfortable. They had everything we needed. We used the air mattresses and cots and they were fine. They had extra sheets and blankets easy to find and ready to use. We have stayed at many vacation rentals and by far was thought out better than any vacation rental we have stayed at. We all loved the kayaks ,canoes and paddle boats. The house is lovely and they were easy to deal with. Great vacation and very friendly town.

Cabin is a must stay getaway!

Family get together

Truly a Rare Find

Totally loved our stay! The blizzard kept us housebound, but the lodge was clean, and spacious. The beds were comfortable, and the decor was amazing. The amenities kept everyone busy. Best place in the world to be snowed in for the weekend. Beyond beautiful! Truly a rare find! The management was also very accommodating, patient, and caring.

Rustic Retreat for our family of 20

We held our annual family getaway weekend at Grandview last year and we all enjoyed it so much that we came back again this year. The getaway weekend is a rare opportunity for us to take a break from the busy-ness of life, close the geographical distance between us, and reconnect with each other for a few days, so the choice of where to stay is made carefully. This beautiful house is in the perfect location with a gorgeous view AND has plenty of space for our group of 12 adults, eight children and one big, sweet dog.

We cooked and ate meals together, played games, enjoyed time in the hot tub, watched movies, or sometimes just sat and chatted in front of the fireplace. With downtown Wautoma just a short drive away, we had access to additional groceries when we needed them. We also went bowling one afternoon and ordered pizza from Christiano's for dinner that night.

Thank you for taking such good care of us and blessing us with the use of this wonderful family home away from home.

Amazing!!!!!

The house was perfect for all of us. We had plenty of room for the 16 of us. We were able to go for a walk on the lake and go to the ski hill, some skied and the other tubed. We had coffee cups that held a cup of coffee, no small cups for our bunch. Beds were comfortable. Beautiful log house. It was all we could need. We want to stay there again. Kids want to do it over Christmas! Summer would be great as water sports are one thing we enjoy! Thanks for sharing the house with us!

Amazing house and lake!

Wow! This house and property are perfect. The pictures do not do it justice. It is bigger and more open than it looks like. We had 17 people there for a few days and it had everything we needed. Everyone had nice bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The basement has a fully stocked kitchen, master bedroom, sauna, and another bedroom. It was a nice area to spend time while others played games and watched movies upstairs. The lake is beautiful and there were several boats, kayaks, canoes, and a SUP that we could use. All directions are easily accessible and clear. Bonnie and Misty were super helpful and responsive the entire time before and during our stay. We would love to stay here again if we are in the area. Outstanding Lodge

Organized a 4-day weekend retreat for my friends and had a simply fantastic time! Plenty of space, luxurious accommodations and the serenity, beauty and privacy of the northern Wisconsin woods greet visitors to this property. Misty and Bonnie were very pleasant to work with and saw to all our needs. The spacious interior never made any of us feel cramped and the two kitchens helped with our meal planning. The lodge's location afford easy access to nearby restaurants and supplies for meal planning in Wautoma. The property came complete with many useful kitchen devices, dishes, plates that made meal prep a breeze. I would definitely recommend this outstanding vacation rental!

Annual Family Fall Getaway

We have stayed in this house before and love it! We had several families stay in the house and had perfect weather to enjoy the lake and boats....90 degrees on the 2nd day of fall! We are sad it's booked for next year, but will find another of Detjens Deluxe Vacation Rental’s houses to rent!

This place was amazing and far exceeded our expectations!

The lake was the perfect size- big enough to provide stunning views and days of fun in and on the water, yet small enough to feel very private with no worries about getting lost while canoeing or boating. The lodge itself is unbelievably beautiful with every imaginable amenity.....Huge spaces with a new discovery of fun areas to explore and entertain around every corner. We spent many hours of relaxation playing pool, soaking in the gorgeous Lakeview while in the outdoor jacuzzi on the upper deck, and enjoying a novel from the expansive collection of books while swaying in the generous comfy hammock on the shaded lower deck! Great memories around the outdoor fire pit and cooking in the gourmet kitchen. Attention to every detail and tender loving care of this property was evident everywhere in this beautiful,clean,welcoming lodge. Wow, it was sooo beautiful!

The pictures on this site do not give this lodge the justice it deserves! The lodge is gorgeous and spotless. For our annual reunion, we were looking for a lodge that would comfortably sleep our growing families. This was the perfect place for us. The staff is helpful and friendly which is an added bonus. Well maintained, provisioned, and beautifully decorated

This cabin really had everything needed for a delightful stay - wide variety of kitchen supplies for almost any cooking, ample thick towels in the bathrooms, board games, pool table / game room, large clean hot tub. All the bedrooms were nice sizes with plentiful closet space. The house was decorated lovely to feel like a home (including a 10' Christmas tree!), and very well maintained, with attention to detail. Our extended family of 22 has stayed at a number of such places and this was a clear 5 star!

Perfect for a large group

The lodge is very impressive. It is well taken care of and clean. It proved to be a perfect mix of openness and privacy for our family holiday reunion. The living room and main floor kitchen area were perfect for our large group to socialize. It was vast yet inviting. There was also a nice open space w/ kitchen in the lower level for socializing. The bedrooms were appropriately spaced out for privacy in the event someone needed to get away from the group for some quiet time. I did not hear a single negative comment about the lodge from any of my family members. Everyone gushed about the quality/comfort of the lodge and the absolutely beautiful view overlooking the lake. If you need a place for a large group, you will not regret staying here.
